THE ANNAPOLIS VALLEY
Vineyards and Orchards and beautiful vistas are the backdrop for one of the most scenic regions along the Bay. The Annapolis Valley stretches from Middleton to Windsor and features some of Nova Scotia's finest wine country. Over the north mountain of the Valley provides access to numerous harbours along the Bay, while communities such as Blomidon, Wolfville, Hantsport and Windsor all provide dramatic views of Fundy's tidal range.
The Annapolis Valley is also part of Nova Scotia's "Evangeline Trail" - a scenic travelway that runs parallel to the Bay of Fundy coastline from Yarmouth to Mount Uniacke. The travelway is named after a narrative poem by Longfellow describing the tragic deportation of the Acadians in 1755. While in the area visit the Grand Pre National Historic site to learn more about "Evangeline".
