From Brier Island and Digby Neck to Bridgetown and Margaretsville, whales and wonder are yours to explore. Whale and seabird tours are among the top of the list of things to see and do in this region where marine life is abound. Heritage and culture flourishes here as well in Annapolis Royal where National Historic Sites Port Royal and Fort Anne share stories of discovery and conflict.
This region of the Bay of Fundy is also part of Nova Scotia's "Evangeline Trail" - a scenic travelway that runs parallel to the Bay of Fundy coastline from Yarmouth to Mount Uniacke. The travelway is named after a narrative poem by Longfellow describing the tragic deportation of the Acadians in 1755.
