YARMOUTH AND ACADIAN SHORE

En route to the head of the Bay, from Yarmouth to Belliveau Cove Nova Scotia, French Acadian culture continues to thrive and be celebrated. Explore your "Cajun" roots here in the birthplace of Acadia and learn of a challenged past and jubilant culture that exists here today.

The Yarmouth and Acadian Shore area is part of Nova Scotia's "Evangeline Trail" a scenic travelway that runs parallel to the Bay of Fundy coastline from Yarmouth to Mount Uniacke. The travelway is named after a narrative poem by Longfellow describing the tragic deportation of the Acadians in 1755.
